A lmost everyone has a horse story. There are those that will tell you of their one experience with a horse and how it was their last. There are those who may share fond memories of lessons or summer camp or learning as an adult the freedom of a horse that eluded them as a child. Then there are those who for no explainable reason seem to be born with a love for horses 

My parents were not “horse people”. They really didn’t understand the passion their little girl had for horses. We lived in town, horses lived in the country. Yet, in my backyard I had a stable of horses, tall ones, short ones red ones and black ones. I rode them all over the neighborhood, I rode them until the leg was worn too short and my mother refused to buy another stick horse.

My first real horse came when I was in the 6th grade. Chico, an unbroken 3 year old appaloosa purchased from the auction for $85.00. I had no saddle, no training and didn’t know what I was doing, but I was on top of the world. Thus began a life filled with horses. I now own a small farm where I have bred, trained and competed my own horses. I have had the pleasure of experiencing the thrills and spills, and will always count myself blessed to have shared my life with these wonderful animals.

It is this love for horses that inspired Browbands by Design. In 2002  I got the idea that it would be nice to have something different than the clincher browbands.  Ideas became prototypes and in the spring of 2003 after having tested my design on local riders I took some browbands to Spruce Meadows to do some test marketing. The rest is history. I am proud that we were the first on the market to create browbands like these and to this day feel that they are ranked at the top for quality and customer service.

 The products we create are crafted with care, skill and the knowledge that our business is about satisfying the customer who appreciates quality and helping them select just the right design for the special horse in their life.

No Matter what discipline you are involved with it is ultimately the love of horses that motivates, excites and enhances our lives. My love of horses has influenced my designs and you, my customer have blessed me in return by your enthusiastic response.
